It’s all gravy!
Sunday rolls up and we all get up early and leave early to the train station!! OMG NO WAY! (HOLY SMEG YES WAY!). At the train station we chat it up with Dave, Allysa, and Rachel who were also waiting for the train. We split up when we get on the train though and get into a fun conversation with a woman who writes music. We talk about old cartoons and the “PC” movement and how censorship sucks and it should be fautor to the people =3! Vive la Revolution!!
At NYC we meet up with Mac-Mac’s sister Penny and have breakfast at the best place ever! ANDREWS! Why was this place awesome? Because Mac’s last name is Andrews XD…! Then we said our good byes and made our way to comic con where we sat ourselves up.
Once in the belly dance wonder woman costume everyone began stopping me about every 10 minutes to take pictures. I think the funniest one was where a girl asked if my boyfriend wouldn’t get mad if her boyfriend took a photo with me. XD… Not many people recognized me as wonder woman or a belly dancer. Most just thought I was a “princess” which was close >_>;;. I have ideas with sequence for this costume next year so it’ll be a fun work-in-progress.
Speaking of boyfriends I found the coolest gift ever for mine lol. Your name in a comic XD! I read through a lot of them and Tom was probably my favorite XD! They didn’t have mine there, which is usual. However, I did find it odd they didn’t have the variant of my name “Susan”. I found one with my boyfriend’s name and was laughing so hard I had to buy it. If he’s good he’ll get it (=P @ Johnny).
On the way over I went to see Micah again to hope he had more of his sketchbooks to buy. I remembered money this time but I should have bought one yesterday because he forgot the books ;___;… Micah said he would be at Philly Con so I might send someone to get one for me >_>…
After the Aspen booth I came across the Joseph Micheal Linser Booth. The lady at the booth really loved my costume and gave me a free poster *_*! I saw a set of chrome cards I really really wanted but decided to wait till I made more money >_>. When I got back to the booth I had sold more stuff and had money to buy them! I went back over to the booth and asked the guy how much just to make sure and he gives them to me for FREE! I couldn’t believe it and said thank you so many times to the man for such a kind gift! I ran back to my booth grabbed a copy of my comic and some belly dance prints to give to him. I also grabbed a print of my wicked water fairy to give to Mr. Linser =D. Joseph Micheal Linser was awesome too! I was so nervous that I was actually talking to THE Joseph Micheal Linser! HOLY CRAP! I gave him the print and forgot to give him my card >_>;;..I’m sure I acted fangirl. He signed a free poster for me because I spaced and forgot to bring back the cards for him to sign XD… (Damn the anxiety!).
Back at the booth I kept selling comics while Erica was selling her hair clips like candy! She virtually sold out of them and I have a total of 4 issues left (I took about 25 issues with me and gave out 5 issues So I sold about 16 O_O! RECORD)! My buttons went like mad candy too. I have to talk to my printer again to get more made for next year!
Oh my friend from Outlawgenedark came over to see me with his sassy girlfriend! They had me draw a wolf and a caricature. My friend Jen stopped by and she was in sexy pink hair dressed as Utena! It was awesome =D! Sometime around then my phone died and they had this weird plug that didn’t like my charger ><;.
At the end of the con we were all excited for next year! We got a lot out of it and knew what to do. This was my first comic con show .I’ve done shows at anime, manga, j-rock, and sci-fi cons before but never a comic con. The group was a lot different to gauge and I would have to say a lot more “adult” but funny thing was my comic book sold the most and my prints barely sold at all! It could have been the table set up too?
On the way back we saw Alyssa, Dave, and Rachel again and talked about all the swag. Then invited them to a mini-after party at my house. Elisa came over and hung out with us and played some video games with us. The party only lasted till midnight because we were all dead exhausted and we I was also happy to get home to put my phone in the charger @_@….
