Day 2: Feed Me (Salad)!

Sep 03, 2008 23:25

So, today was... OK. It could have been better. Our Physics professor really has faith in us studying our notes, I guess-- he's blasting through our material at light speed. He writes down the math behind the standard velocity/acceleration equations, but... well, remember how you always had to "show your work" on math problems? This is why. I was so lost. Glad we have tutorial sessions.

Then, in our Computer Science lab today, we had to craft a program that would... well, I won't get into it, but basically, I was having trouble grasping the method behind the way we were coding it. It all worked out, but it made me feel a bit slow for awhile... which I'm not used to, since I kind of breezed through high school math, lol.

Then I ate lunch and did laundry, so there's that... [/lolboring]

I've been eating so unhealthily lately. I guess it's not a new thing, though; I've been eating unhealthily since I was about 6. It's weird; before that, I used to be a total omnivore: I'd eat lettuce, tomatoes, olives, carrots... you know, all that stuff that's good for you. Then somewhere down the road, I guess I just decided to stop eating it. I don't think I've eaten an orange in, literally, years. I know I'll have to start eating healthier if I want to keep slim, but it's so hard when your college's servery supplies pasta, burgers, and pizza buffet-style every day. I've been eating salad, but for some reason the little plant bits that stick to everything when I chew bother me. I tried some ranch dressing the other day, and it just tasted odd with the leafy taste.

Anyway, lest I start sounding like Lucky Star and their chocolate coronets... I really technically shouldn't even be posting this now. I've got a math assignment due tomorrow morning, and I haven't started on it. Not to mention, this isn't even review; it's new material. I've got to get the textbook soon, but I really don't want to pay full price on it. I'm thinking of getting it off Half.com.

So on a closing note, I think I'll start jotting these off a little earlier in the day-- I don't think today was very good, since it was a bit rushed. Anyway, 'til tomorrow.
