Saturday morning
B and I were up pretty early for a Saturday, before sunrise, but he was hungry, and we'd gone to bed fairly early. I have little food that isn't an uncooked Blue Apron meal or can of soup, so B ordered bagel sandwiches delivered, mmmm. Then we went on a great hike in the woods that border my neighborhood, for three miles. Seemed to be fine for my knee, but I'm not used to hiking so I feel exhausted -- but happily exhausted, was perfect weather for it.
After I rest for a bit I'll prepare for an afternoon of toys! :o)
I'll stay at the house this weekend -- I'll change the hot tub water and get caught up with some chores and bills and stuff. Then next weekend I'm taking off Thursday & Friday and will spend some of that time at the condo, including cleaning it up for K's arrival.
Then T is likely to arrive also, not sure for how long. The length of his job at the island has always been temporary, and the endpoint has always been in limbo, and we never know for sure how long he'll be in each place before he travels to the other. But, at some point his temporary job there will end and he'll have to figure out what he wants to do next, as that job is not his last job before retirement.
Even if he comes back to the DC area he may still look for another job elsewhere before he retires. And then I'll have a better idea what my own retirement will look like. If we're keeping this house, that's one thing. If T is moving away, and we don't keep this house, that's another thing. And even if T finds a long-term position in the DC area, we might still sell the house and go our separate ways. But ... we can't decide anything while he's still at a temporary job of unknown duration.

Trump is officially ahead in the polling average again as of today. I really think this isn't even going to be close on election night. Please, voters, prove me wrong. Vote for somebody else!
