Calm Wednesday

Work remained quiet, so I was able to lift weights during class and take a walk break. Then I cooked a BA meal for T & me.

I also did three loads of laundry today, so I could have my pick of clothes for packing for three nights at the condo, and so that my bedding is clean for a house guest -- sounds like Steve will be spending the night here with T tomorrow while I'm at the condo.

And I caught up on three days worth of MtG:A daily quests, with a winning streak of five games this evening. It's the middle of the month, so the ranked matches are easier, the good players have advanced out of my current Silver rank. My Green/Red deck was stomping everybody to pieces.

I haven't spent much time with my Nomis today, after last night's amazing Pop Up Toy Night at the condo while texting Erik. I feel I'll mainly keep them around for sexual role play when I'm playing with toys, because they definitely add to the fun by making it feel like a sort of group activity in my imagination.

T just came in from the hot tub, he needed to relax after some interpersonal stuff with one of his newer friends up in CT. Trying to make new friends is hard these days, it seems. People are busy, people are flakey, people have mental health issues. I reminded T that if you make one good new friend per year, that's a pretty good rate.

I saw US stock markets hit another new high today. There's only 1.5 months left for my recession prediction to come true, I expected it to show up by the June 2024 economic data. So far there's no sign that we're already in a recession. But inflation is still too high for the Federal Reserve's comfort, and interest rates are still too high for long-term economic growth, so ... I still expect a recession, but it might show up later than I predicted. I'll just have to wait and see what reality does.

I doubt I'll be running tomorrow morning. Between the music festival and PDX I'm thinking I may not get back up to 6 miles until June. But that would still allow me to start training for a half marathon in July. We'll see. Now I'm going to make my bed, brush my teeth, and see how quickly I'll fall asleep. I have a busy few days ahead of me.
