I think this is what gets stuck in my &$!@# much of the time when I deal with other sexual, gender, religious, ethnic, and racial minorities, especially online.
The same people who demand acceptance of their own diversity, then turn around and expect the rest of the world to kowtow to their own opinions, vocabulary, standards, umbrage, and then -- they tell others to "stay in your lane" and NOT EVEN COMMENT on certain matters. No contrary opinions allowed.
I mean, this is nothing new. Oppressed minorities can be as bigoted and bullying as anybody else. It's one of the major problems with assembling a coalition to topple the privileged. Get the lesbians mad at the gay men, for example. Get the Jews mad at the blacks. Divide and conquer. Get the pro-lifers mad at the pro-choicers.
Similarly, get the working class mad at the poor, and the immigrants. Get the feminists mad at the transgender women, and vice versa.
It used to be that the state police would infiltrate organizations to foment this sort of discord, but now our social media algorithms do it automatically.
It's fun turning into a tyrant immediately after securing your own liberation.
