Well, this is disappointing, the US Green Party just tweeted "#DefundPolice" -- and I'd re-registered as a Green only a few weeks ago. Now I guess I'll have to re-register as a Democrat again, although there's no rush, no local primary elections this year. Instead of setting up that new monthly contribution to the Global Greens, I'll find some

Please don't base your party registration on something so trivial as a single tweet. This is basically a semantic issue, not a idealistic difference.

I haven't yet cut off my monthly contribution to DSA, or changed my party registration away from Green. But I'm VERY UNHAPPY about this semantic issue.

I don't actually think we should cut police funding, I think we should pay police more than we currently do, along with every other worker who makes less than $50/hour.

My contribution had to be to Natl Abortion Rights League. *sigh*
