Just a little pimping for a local coffee place...near where I work (around 135th and Metcalf), there's a Starbucks and also a LatteLand, each about the same distance from my office front door, though in slightly opposite directions.  LatteLand has the bonus of having a drive-thru, and I gave it a whirl on Monday and then again today.  On Monday, I ( Read more... )

Just wanted to let you know that there is a new cafe open downtown! It had its grand opening this past Wednesday, apparently. It's located between Central and Wyandotte on 10th Street. I don't think there's a sign up yet, but it has a lovely modern look to it (horizontal wood exterior). They're open 6am to 2pm... I believe only Monday-Friday. They ( Read more... )

Hi all - I finally ventured into a locally-owned coffee shop in Raytown (0ff of Blue Ridge/63rd st) called Benetti's Coffee Experience. I had a yummy chai latte and got some beans for my mom. It's a cute little place and I definitely plan to go back.

I have a friend looking for a good coffeehouse in town. The kind that's open past midnight, is partially furnished with comfy couches, and occasionally has open mikes and poetry slams. I think you get the idea.

Any such place in town?
