Utility Assistance Resources?
Hi all. My husband and I are suddenly struggling quite a bit financially. He just lost his job, I lost my SSD benefits, and so now we find ourselves making half what we were, with no warning. We’re behind on some utilities, and I expect to get shut off notices any day now. Does anyone here know where we might be able to get some assistance catching them up to current? I’m not really sure where to start, we’ve never had to ask for utility assistance before. We think, if we’re careful, once we’re totally caught up that we can maintain the bills, so hopefully this will be a one time gig. Barring any new catastrophes that decide to blindside us. Any names of organizations, agencies, whatever, would be fabulous. Websites or phone numbers would be great too. Thanks a lot.
