Dear Friend:
We’d like to extend an invitation to you to join us as a vendor at the First Annual Gaia Community Spring Bazaar. The Spring Bazaar is a show and sale for local artists, crafters, and merchants who cater to pagan, earth-friendly, new-age, spiritual, eclectic, bohemian, anachronistic,, or other tastes that are a bit off the beaten path. The Spring Bazaar is a new event this year, but we are building on nine years of tradition and experience offering a Winter Bazaar in December. A Gaia Bazaar typically offers shoppers a diverse and interesting selection of clothing, jewelry, herbals, candles, incense, ritual supplies, pottery, art, soaps and beauty products, costumes and garb, books, and assorted wonderful handmade stuff. Our vendors are a friendly and talented crowd, and we thought you’d fit right in.
The Spring Bazaar will be held April 26, 2008, at Center High School, 8715 Holmes in South Kansas City, Missouri, from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. The space will be open for set-up at 8:30 a.m., and will be held for pack-out and clean-up until 8 p.m. Space is available in 10’ x 10’ blocks, at a cost of $50 each for aisle spaces, or $60 for corner spaces. Gaia Community members receive a $20 discount on booth space. Vendors are welcome to bring their own tables, chairs and/or other booth furnishings, and 8’ tables are also available to rent for $7 each. More information about the Bazaar, including registration and payment options, is available on our vendor information web page, http://www.gaiacommunity.org/vendors.shtml .
This Bazaar is a fund-raiser for Gaia Community, an earth-based, pagan-themed Unitarian Universalist congregation meeting weekly in Overland Park, Kansas. The event is promoted and advertised in the Kansas City metropolitan area, focusing on media and locations that serve a primarily pagan or spiritually eclectic demographic.
If you have any questions or comments about the event, please feel free to e-mail the Bazaar team at bazaar@gaiacommunity.org. We hope to see you at the Bazaar!
Blessings of prosperity and abundance,
Terry Ross, vendor coordinator
Via Baker, logistics coordinator
Nola Cavenaugh, Gaia Community Treasurer
