Once upon a time, in a galaxy far, far away, there was a group of wild, free, fabulous women who happened to have children. Regular playgroups and child-oriented gatherings were too confining to these mamas. I need a playgroup! I don't know that I would be able to make it every week, but I do need to get out of the house and be with other mamas at least sometimes! :)

Hallo thar! I think WE need to be friends! I'm 21, have a 5 month old daughter, and am extremely shy as well. I live south of KC on the Missouri side, but I'm willing to drive to Kansas for a play date.

I am older and with older kids but I can promise you KCAP is very ok with the pathologically shy. Since I am one and they have always been so nice to me. And as a mom with older kids seems place is all babies like yours, lol

I have a question that a hipmama could answer. Is there a place in KC that I can try on both the Moby wrap and a mei tai to see which one I want to purchase?

Is your playgroup all women with babies? Or are there any women with older kids?

My kids are older (elementary school), but we (I) could use a playgroup.
