He's leaning back against the trunk with a bright orange book propped open in his hand, comfortably perched atop a branch. He seems rather unassuming, despite the fact that his entire face is covered by a mask and his hair is a gigantic puff of a mess going every which way. [Marco sees the man. He stops and stares at him, thinking, what now?

Marco is nervous. He'll be stupid if he hasn't admit that. It is rare for anyone to go inside unknown territory without any back-up. Without Jake's leadership and Tobias' eyes and Rachel's firepower. Without Cassie's calm temperament and Ax's intellect. All Marco has is all the animals' DNA inside of him, ready to be used in a moment's notice.

And, of course, Marco's rather ingenious ways of playing dumb.]

[ Kakashi glances over the edge of his book and down at the boy staring at up at him. Huh. Must be that new kid who made a post yelling all sorts of weird shit on the Hitomi network that Kakashi couldn't be bothered to deal with. Or someone who just looks like him.

He's tempted to ignore him and go back to reading, but that'd be rude. ]

This thing here, this computer, right? Some people talked to me, and some old guy named Iroh told me about how this is Kannagara. He also said about spirits taking people away to this place. What . . .

[Marco pretend-hesitates, as though this should this unnerved him somehow. In a way, it does, but it doesn't surprise him. It's just another of one the Ellimist's games, and Marco needs to know the rules of it, that's all.]

What does he mean by that?
