Warnings: It's Akatsuki. And Hidan and Deidara are there. Who the fuck knows? XD Also, HealedAndHappy!Pain is present. And there's booze.
[To be honest, Kisame had pretty much figured that he would need to be the main thrust behind this whole initiative. He was one of the few both willing and enthusiastic enough to do it in general. Konan was helping however she could, of course, but that was limited rather strictly to logistical concerns, since she was near Pain so often; Sasori had volunteered to bring the alcohol as well, which Kisame had gladly agreed to--he decided that he didn't want to know what Sasori's cooking tasted like, considering the man worked with poisons, preservatives, and corpses on a regular basis. Did he even need to eat anymore? How long had it been since he'd last cooked?]
[So aside from that.... well, they were pretty much set. Right? People would be taking care of their own presents, so what else was there to do, besides provide the food and the sentiments? They just couldn't do decorations. It would have made this even harder than it already was. Trying to surprise seven bodies? He wouldn't have been able to manage at all, if it hadn't been for Konan's help. She was the only one who was possibly able to keep them conveniently distracted while he (they?) set up in a spare living area. And really, that had demanded care and stealth enough, even for the short work of setting out the food and booze and dishes alike. He'd simply left his present on a side-table nearby, a hefty little thing wrapped in a bolt of cloth for padding, and tied with a ribbon he'd scrounged up from another house; maybe Konan could make use of those, if she liked sewing. Who knew?]
[With all that settled, the group has been able to get into the meeting fairly easily--little more than a formal, official airing of their status reports. Simple though it is, it has to be done; he really wishes they could start getting back on track and reassessing their goals soon, though.... He can't help but be antsy with this lack of action. Having something to do would be nice.... But for today, he'll be content with doing this. He waits and listens to the others, and volunteers his own report last, standing once he's finished and motioning for the group to follow him into the room that's been set up.]
And one last thing to report; we noticed that some action had to be taken on account of the date. Happy birthday, Leader-sama.
