[ When Valeria's feet find the ground again, they do not depart from it, not immediately. A word would have been enough. Three, though... three words and she's taken aback, turning her head too quickly to look to Kisame, except that he's there, standing almost directly behind her now. (How did he...? When...?) Her eyes widen, lips parting ever so slightly as she feels his hand seize hers so quickly, so gently despite the urgency she only just heard in his voice. She hadn't been expecting that--any of it really. Hadn't expected him to move, to reach out, to--to say her name, no “san” attached, and look at her that way, and say the things he says. He's flustered, so flustered, and all she wants to do is turn and fall back into him.... and when he says that word, she can't help but shudder involuntarily.

Go? She doesn't want to go. Gods, why would she ever? Her fingers twist of their own accord, fit themselves in his, and she grips them tightly, securely; it's all she can do to keep herself anchored as she struggles with herself, what to say, what she came to say--

Why are you here? ]

I want to stay.

[ There is a strength in her words she had not expected; though, today is full of surprises. She holds Kisame's gaze, fully aware that she can't keep the emotion, the sincerity from her eyes. (I want to stay here, with you.) ]
