Four had said that he would help Tavros out, and he was determined to! He wasn't completely sure what he could actually do, but he was able to offer Tavros some company! And Tobias too, since Four didn't think that he'd actually be able to get all the way there on his own. Also Four always jumped for a reason to spend time with Tobias, since he couldn't think of a more fascinating person.
So after Tobias came and picked him up, Four sat on his shoulder during the journey and watched the world go by with a look of wonder and excitement. It was times like this that he could ignore his loneliness and admire Kannagara for what it was: A beautiful place filled with so many wonderful living things that Four could spend his entire life looking at it all. Ever now and then he'd tug on Tobias's ear and point at something. Usually it was a deer, a tree, a cloud shape, or a stream, but it was still so new and exciting to him.
Four could see the giant tree up ahead, and he pointed excitedly at it.
