Summary: Finally dealing with Yoite's leaving, drowning in the emo here. Probably.
Now that Gau is, once again, an adult, Raikou had offered his friend/lover/partner a kiss and a murmured be back later, then simply...gone out the afternoon before. He'd needed the time to breath, now that he needn't worry about loved ones turned small. And while he hadn't meant to stay out all night, that's precisely what has happened.
But not because he'd gone drinking as had been his intention.
Not even close.
No, he'd made it to the point where the path into the village split off to where one went up to Yoite's Shrine and just... stopped. And stood there. Completely and utterly immobile.
And then he'd gone into his bosses shop and asked to use the workroom.
There he spent the afternoon and the night just working, pouring his every memory and every emotion of Yoite into his task. And there he'd stayed until the last sheet was safely dried, until the sun was easing away the darkness with early predawn light.
And now?
Now he stands with his precious bundle cradled gently in his arms at the entrance of their home. He crosses the room to set them down on their 'living room' table, portions the washi sheets out into various stacks, by color of course, then straightens up and runs his hands down the seams of his jeans.
He takes a breath, to steady himself, then walks down the hall to lean against the wall, rather than going into either room, raises his voice just enough, "Gau? Miharu-kun? It's time to wake up. C'mon! Busy day today!"
