Summary: Everyone else has grown up... Gau wonders why he hasn't.
When all the people go, the cave is suddenly almost quiet. It's never really completely silent, not with the rush of water from the waterfall, the crash of it on the rocks, the flow of it below. But in comparison to the hustle and bustle of so many people in their small space, Gau thinks it's quite peaceful.
The boy is curled up on his side, small hands idly smoothing over a blanket, as if smoothing the wrinkles out calms him. When he runs out of wrinkles, he wads it a little between his hands, starts again.
His green eyes seem about to close, as if he might be sleepy, or perhaps just bored. But the corners of his mouth turning down and the way his chin dips against the blanket speak of something more than that.
"Raikou-san... I want my mom..."
The words come out almost in a whine, and though Raikou has told him that he's really supposed to be all grown up, he can't process it. Everyone else grew up today, after all, and he's still small. And really he just wants to go home.
