Road's kept nice and quiet, just waiting and listening and pretending to be unconscious. It's a tactic she's learned through years of observation; when faced with an impossible situation, bide your time until an opportunity presents itself. Stuck in a cage in a yukata that wasn't hers, she knew she was nowhere near alone; it was dark, and she wasn't sure how many other cages were in the room, but she counts four other girls.
The damage to herself is already known; a few bruises on her legs and arms, a bump on the back of her head, and a cut on her left cheek. It could have been worse, she thinks. It's a sobering fact, that she's been yanked down so far from where she was - and, for the first time since he left, she's glad that Tyki isn't here.
She wouldn't want him to see her like this - so helpless and hopeless.
Now, though, it would seem everyone is awake; she can sense limited movement, which is probably some of the others trying to be sneaky and get word out to their loved ones to come help them. Road knows she can't expect something like that. As far as she knows, she's on her own. Her own Hitomi lays on the floor of the cage, right beside her, hidden beneath the skirt of her yukata.
"Is everyone awake?" Her words are quiet, hoarse, because she hasn't spoken for more than a day now.
