The trouble with being a dragon was that it was very difficult to enjoy human-scaled entertainment. She was far too large to purchase any of the goods or take any free handouts, though she would have liked to have something shiny to hang around her neck. The food was tasty, to be sure, but she only got a brief taste of anything, as much more than that would eat the poor vendors out of house and home. And, not to mention, most people were scared of her, simply because she was so large and could possibly eat people in one bite. She wouldn't, of course, but the people here had no way of knowing that ( ... )

The trouble Roy found by hearing that voice was that as encouraging as they were, they were still from this massive beast that, by all rights, shouldn't exist. And there was the problem with the fact that she, it did not seem to be bothered by being surrounded by humans. Then again, Roy hadn't completely dismissed the 'being knocked out' theory. Considering the company he had when he seemed to 'black out', it was entirely possible he forgot a short joke and an automail fist in his face.

"You're awfully friendly. Giving advice to players isn't against the rules?"

Not that he knew or anything. And talking to this creature seemed even less strange than talking to it over the strange 'Hitomi' device. Dreams were funny that way, weren't they?

"Nobody has complained about it yet," Iskierka said simply, and the real answer was just as simple: most of the people running the games were far too terrified of what a large fire-breathing dragon might do if angered. Putting up with her words is a lot easier.

Though it wasn't as if her words of encouragement helped much. They still did as good or as bad as they would have normally, it was just that they had an extra person watching.

He'd seen the results, and it really wasn't surprising. Real or not, most people would be a little terrified of something so big, possibly capable of things the imagination could grant to something looking suspiciously like a dragon. Still, it wasn't as if he cared or anything. Games were games and handing out advice was just one of those things people did. Sometimes there was always going to be that outside person--a master of games would know that.

He shrugged innocently enough, eyes on the players rather than the one he was talking with. "Nothing you can join in on?" Not that it wasn't already obvious, but he kind of expected anything right now.

"No, they are all too small for me to play. But it is alright, I am content with watching." But her tone betrayed that she might not have been as happy about it as she claimed to be: she did sound quite sour over the fact that she was too big. She was quickly finding out that being a dragon in this place was more difficult than she had initially thought it would be. But at least the people here were nice, and that could make things a little better.

But there was one thing she was interested in. "I should like to see what these fireworks are, though. Perhaps, if it truly involves fire, I can do something, as I can control fire."

He noticed, but then, he supposed it couldn't really be helped. It wasn't as if there would be much of a way to make something fitting for her. Well, there was, but it seemed less practical than these people giving away all these free items. He frowned up at the dragon, though. Myths about fire-breathing dragons, but there was a difference between spitting fire and controlling it--and he was pretty sure this one knew the difference.

"Control fire, you say? Maybe you can give a demonstration sometime." And he allowed a little bit of a smirk to play on his lips. An alchemist had to have scientific proof, after all. And that curiosity didn't help, either.

Iskierka was very proud of her fire: it's what set her apart from all the other dragons in England, and it made her insanely valuable. While she did have other strengths as well, her fire would always have a special meaning. That was why she sounded very proud when she spoke of it. "Of course, I am all too happy to demonstrate. But it will have to be later, it is not particularly safe to do within the city."

Sara was wandering around the festival when she saw the beautiful dragon she'd seen over the Forge. She was actually a bit shy about approaching it, but she had seemed friendly enough before...

She walked up and stood by the dragon as it watched the games. "Hello again."

Iskierka looked down when she heard the voice, and she saw that it was a small girl. In fact, she recognized this girl: they had spoken over the network before. "Greetings," she said pleasantly, "It's good to see you here. Are you enjoying yourself?"

"I am enjoying myself, very much. And yourself?" She was trying to be polite, but she was talking to a real, live dragon.

She couldn't help smiling widely up. "You're so amazing! I've never seen a dragon before."

[Rin has parted from her group for the time being and explored the place on her own. She was drawn rather quickly to the eastern part of the festival, where she found all sorts of games.

A flash of memories overcame her at first seeing them; all the things she used to love playing, at the summer festivals she frequently went to -- with her parents.

She hasn't been so often, ever since she doesn't have them anymore.

But now, she's indulging, so you may find her crouching in front of one of the gold fish basins with a catcher in her hand, brows furrowed deeply in concentration.]

[It's not really a big surprise to see Lavi at the games, is it? He's having a blast, to be completely honest, jumping back and forth between it all even if it's game he knows he'll fail at. Such as hitting targets because, well, one eye.

Just for the hell of it!

Feel free to bother him; he loves being bothered.]
