[The screen is partially black, though tall grass and blue skies could be seen in a corner, peeking out from beneath a palm. The landscape spins for a moment as the device is turned around in the holder’s hand to reveal a man seated on a protruding root of an impossibly large tree, pink hair catching lightly in the breeze as dark russet eyes seem to scan the surrounding glade thoughtfully. After a long moment he sighs and cuts his gaze back to the device in his hand, holds it up a little more.
A small smile slips into place, soft and serene despite the confusion and worry beating against the cage of his chest, and when he speaks, his voice is low and melodious.]
Forgive my intrusion but...I find I'm not where I was or should be, so if anyone is listening...Yukimi-senpai...I could use your guidance right about now...
[Meaning he would like to finish his self-appointed job of helping Gau and Miharu escape - he hadn't the time to waste here on idle chatter, or being lost in an unfamiliar location, because he knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that this was neither Tokyo or Banten. And it was most definitely not Hattori's compound.
Worse, he'd already spent hours searching his surroundings and found no sign of Miharu or Gau - had even gone so far as to prick himself with a kunai to ensure it wasn’t an illusion or jutsu, but no.
No hint or trace of their presence that would indicate they'd made it out safe or not...
No signs of a struggle, much less the heated battle he’d been in moments before.
This didn’t sit well with the samurai, not at all, so he offered another smile, this one tinged with something sharper, cooler as his hand adjusted the grip on the white hilt at his side.]
Or if you will...only give me the directions and I will report to you directly, Hattori-sama.
