[There's something very ominous about those dolls.
But that's not what Cross reacts to, not at all.
It's Allen. "Angel"? That's Allen, definitely Allen, no doubt about it. Angel, really? This boy sees Allen as an angel? That's a first. He knows Allen often brings hope to people, but this is pretty big. And it's this boy who... isn't even a part of their world. Doesn't Allen want to go back to their world? If this kid relies on him so much... He almost seems to have some issues with being alone, so...
Allen's getting very close to some people here, isn't he? That must be quite a struggle for him, wanting to leave and yet having these people that trust him.
It's always like that, isn't it? Allen just is the kind of person people feel they can rely on. Is that such a good thing here?
Allen doesn't really look at dreams. If anything, especially not anymore... maybe... Kinda. And not of people he respects - his friends. It's rude.
Well. That covered Cross, Tyki, and Heine. Not friends or respected. (Don't you dare question that.) Lenalee was... uh... different. stfu
He'd been out on the job, awkwardly trying to talk with some woman vendor in Kusasato, when Timcanpy had first lazily swooped around his head. No, quit that, Tim. A somewhat-but-not-really grumpy swipe at the creature; sheepish, apologetic smile to the lady and suddenly a million questions to answer about his "metal-bird." Thanks, Tim.
Later, after sulking, the golem tried again. Allen had just boggled with a more annoyed look at the creature and ducked how it dove at his head. Really, he could quit that anytime now.
Still later, Timcanpy did what any reasonable golem would do. As young-master moved to rejoin the caravan and leave town, Timcanpy rounded on him and chomped down on a finger

[So have a weak-smiling Exorcist tilting his head in a contrite kind of greeting with the darkening sky and quieting market as backdrop.]
Ah, hi, Yoite.
[A beat, the smile slips a bit, and his face slackens in sympathy; not-understanding yet empathy.]
You and Gau... are you two doing alright?
[Because Gau seemed less than alright after Allen spoke with him and... it worries the young man, especially after the dream. And he's side-stepping the elephant in the room at the moment because that's kind of what he does.
And yeah, Cross was more than right. On many, many accounts.]

[Yoite hears the voice speaking to him through the blankets wrapped tightly around him. That same voice his mind has just used against him and one of the people he is not sure he can face right now.
But as he listens he takes note of the fact the Allen makes no mention of what took place in the dream. What Yoite's mind had turned him into in the dream. He is being kind again.
Unless...perhaps he hadn't seen the whole dream...
...no. If he hadn't seen it he wouldn't be calling.
Tentatively he picks up the device and pulls it into the bundle of blankets with him, so the majority of the screen is black save for a little light on his cheeks and chin.]
Allen-san....
[Pause]
.....
[He drops his head, not going to let Allen play this game with him]
...I know you saw....
[A beat then he shakes his head, suddenly regretting being so forward. Its not like he really WANTS to discuss this with Allen either. How is he supposed to attempt to explain himself?]
[Video/Private] ffff LJ why are you hating on my subjects. ANGEL-SPEAK?whitenightingJuly 18 2010, 02:48:00 UTC
[Ahhh... no getting around that, then.
For that, Allen grins a bit sheepishly briefly.]
Ah, I did... [A pause, glancing aside for a moment with a rather contrite expression and scratching at his cheek a bit because he is sorry for the intrusion.] Sorry about that...
[He does nod at the... sort-of reassurance, although after seeing Gau earlier he's still rather worried.]
That's good to hear... I spoke with Gau earlier and... [Pause, something between a sad smile and a frown.] Things were obviously a bit hard.
[And then there's you, Yoite, which he's more than a bit concerned about in the long run and wanting to find a cure or something for, but... that's not something to just point out. Not that he isn't going to stubbornly do everything he can.
But it is honestly is better to see Yoite even like this than... that last time in the housing complex.]
[He's not home, of course. He's at work, and he hates that he has to leave Yoite alone, but he enjoys his job at the bakery and they need the money...
and he's staring into the Hitomi on his break with a frown on his face. He chooses a voice message, mostly because he's sitting in the backroom at the bakery and there's not a lot to see anyway.]
[By the time Yoite responds he has thoroughly undone Gau's perfectly made bed and is now curled up in it as a tight ball. His response goes through as a video simply by virtue of the fact that he doesn't really trust his ability to communicate via words and sounds.
Quietly he just shakes his head at the screen. Gau shouldn't come home from a place he enjoys being to deal with something upsetting. Yoite wants him to stay there, at work, baking, and wearing aprons, and talking to people and doing all those things Yoite associates with making Gau happy.]
[Still Voice]tenpa_tantrumJuly 18 2010, 22:26:56 UTC
[Yoite's in his bed. Gau can tell the difference by the position on the light from the window, though he wouldn't have realized he could before that moment. He frowns, decides not to show his face because he's not sure he wants Yoite to know how much he worries over him.]
You know anytime you need me, you can call. This dream... Yoite... I wish I could make you happier somehow.
[Yoite is silent for a long moment, chewing at his lower lip. He wants a way to show Gau that he does make him happy. That despite everything else, the fact that Gau is still here... is what makes it alright.]
...G-gau-san? Do you..do you remember...when I ran away? And...I had that dream with...
[Hesitation]
...Sora...
[Eyes shift back to look into the screen]
...you know.. the message y-you left for me?
I kept it. And... and I played it...when I g-got scared...
