[Miharu has placed the Hitomi right in front of his feet, and as the screen flares to life, on its own, all you can see is his black hair. Unsurprisingly, seeing as his arms are wrapped around his knees and his face is buried in his sleeves

[Raikou nods then and flicks off the Hitomi, takes off at a quick sprint. He's grateful for the way this place shifts the time, so that the distance between them fades far faster than even the bullet train could manage.
Because right now there is nothing more important than getting to Miharu, keeping his young cousin from being alone right now... especially now.
Although he does pause, belatedly, to send Iruka a quick message to let him know where he was going, then right back to running he goes.
As a matter of fact, he runs all the way to the ferry, paces the deck as they crossed to the island, then takes off once again, jumping the last few feet to the dock before the boat even got there. Ten more minutes through the trees and he is finally nearing Yoite's shrine.
He stops at the bridge, dark eyes intent, the image of a young Yoite there quietly bustling about the shrine before he realized Raikou was watching him there before his eyes.
Just a moment before it fades. He takes a breath to steel his heart, then crosses the bridge to slide open the door.]
...Miharu-kun?

Perhaps he should ask about it... Because that confuses him; he knows of no such thing. But then, Raikou is on his way and, frankly, he doesn't quite feel like knowing right now. He has a feeling... that would be too much.
Thus he locks that away as he waits, thinking about maybe cleaning up a little since he'll be leaving this place, apparently. But then... he can't find the strength in him to move.
So he doesn't do so until he hears Raikou, only then forces himself onto his feet by locking away everything, putting on a blank expression, though he can't put away all of the tiredness. Maybe some of the throbbing in his chest shines through. Go away go away goaway.]
I'm here...

He swallows and turns somber russet eyes to meet bright green ones.]
I'm going to take you to the cave, but first... is there anything left here that you want to bring with you?
Reply
[Anything from here would remind him too much of Yoite. He briefly considers bringing something that Yoite used to have, but this is a spot where he could see Yoite was fully at peace and he thinks that everything that belongs to him should stay here then.
It's also because of this that he feels a little like he wants to stay, but he knows he can't, just can't. So it's best this way.
And everything here will be untouched, just as Yoite left it. At least for now, for as long as possible. It's how it should be, and the least that can be done.]

Alright then... let's get going, hm? The shrine will be safe enough here. Yoite usually-- well, it'll be fine like this.

If ever.
He probably knows it already, anyway.]

He was more like a younger version of Yoite right now than anything else.
Which meant all he could do was lead the young teen down to his cave and take a moment to start a fire before bringing it into the dark cavern and lighting the pre-laid pit.Warm light flickered and bounced off the cavern walls as Raikou moved about the living room chamber, lighting their usual candles and ignoring the thin layer of dirt and dust (at least for the moment0. As he did so, he called back:]
When was the last time you ate, Miharu-kun?
Reply
And perhaps sitting down by the fire isn't entirely bad. It's warm, at least.
Raikou speaking sounds almost impossible loud in his ears and he blinks as he slowly raises his head. Ate...? Oh. That thing that you kind of have to do. He's never been so good at eating properly, so now...
He honestly can't remember the last time. Not because it's necessarily long ago, it just... doesn't matter to him.
Thus, he just shrugs.]

Miharu-kun... How long has Yoite-kun been gone?
Reply
He's... not sure he's so fully aware of that either.]
A day or two, I think.

[It hits like a sucker punch, to know that Yoite's been gone and he had been none the wiser for that long. Even so, he's careful to keep his shock hidden within himself, as if to keep the burden of his emotions away from Miharu, as he turns back to see what else there is to make for the two of them.]
Something simple then, like miso soup and rice, to keep from upsetting your stomach.

He doesn't really want to eat at all, now that he thinks about it. So it's not... just not caring. He doesn't want to.
But he should, he knows that much.]
Reply
Because no matter that he'd scrapped and clawed his way into Yoite's trust... for Miharu, Yoite was his most precious person.
In this, to Raikou, Miharu's grief came first.]
Here, drink this. It's a rose, chamomile, and valerian root tea so it might make you sleepy, but I'd like you to try to stay awake long enough to eat. It'll be ready soon, Miharu-kun.

Feels that he is, that is.
And he goes with that. So unless he absolutely has to, he won't talk.]

It only takes a moment to pull the unused futon out of storage and shake it out after lighting the sconces in the room, another to find the bedding to go with it before pulling out a sleep yukata and leaving it on the bed for the young man.
He catches a spare blanket from a chest and, stepping back into the main chamber, silently drapes it over thin shoulders.
After that, he simply goes back into the kitchen to check on the food, if not content than understanding in the silence beyond the crackle of the fire and the low, steady roar of the waterfall.]

This silent moving and doing things that Raikou deems necessary... It's far better than any of that.
So he grips onto the blanket as it falls over him, tugs it a little further around him, and continues drinking the tea. It's warm...]
