Well, NYCC is tomorrow, and I'll be going, minis in hand! I'm actually pretty damn nervous about it because I've never tried to talk to editors before. This is the first convention I'm going to where I'm attending KIND OF as an aspiring professional in addition to attending as a fan, so I've got a little bit of the jitters. I have SORT OF a game plan, but I'm not really sure who to talk to or how I'll present myself. I guess it's something I'll figure out on the fly.
Going to Becky's class was a really big energy booster for it, because we spent most of the day just talking about publishers and stuff. I just hope I can make an impression on somebody!
Tonight I'm going to sit down and finish banging out some graphics shit for my dumb site! I'll post a link up soon, but according to the stat tracker it's already getting more hits than I remember linking people to??? I have to add another one to check dat shit.
In other news, my day was made a lot cooler by discovering that I have successfully acquired a new pair of Outrageous Chucks!
These babies are MINE. I'm so excited about owning a pair of subway map shoes! I always wanted to own a thing with the subway map on them, and I could not come up with a better place for it! I wonder what color laces I should go with? What line do I want to represent the most?
