My cat Pomponnet died today. He was 15 years old. He'd been sick for two weeks, the vet did all she could to save him, but in the end he was too weak and persisting would have had him suffering needlessly.

I bought a Nikon CoolPix S52c (second hand) on eBay, flat enough to be kept in my pocket. Right now I just tried it inside from my armchair XD but I'm rather happy with the result. Here's a good portrait of our cat Pomponnet. Lot of fur, claws, whiskers and muscles!

Several snow falls this winter, and holding to the ground. We're not used to that anymore... Yesterday we even had a tiny blizzard! Of course I had to go to the next town for some X-rays with a cab, and as there was almost nothing when living I kept my clap-shoes. Mom's cats...
Pomponnet with his dressing (more than five weeks now, I told him not to shake his dressing off all the time!) He should get rid of it tomorrow, but not of the collar, no licking the fresh scar :o)

Mom's cat Pomponnet has been badly injured in the foreleg, and the vet says it will take at least 2 weeks (perhaps one full month) to fully heal.
She's using a way of protecting his primary bandage I didn't know of and which proves very efficient- all of you who own are owned by cats know that it's almost impossible to keep them from ( Read more... )
