Arse bollocks

The merry_smutmas sign-ups came and went - as I had worried, they came and went without me. *cries a little*

Some days I hate being in a different timezone. :( What's especially frustrating is that I checked just before going to bed last night, and by the time I looked this morning, it had all happened. How?? *sigh*

Many thanks to cjmarlowe for writing me that note, ( Read more... )

Hi there,

yes, multiverse is a cross-over challenge aimed specifically at sci fi shows. we're talking star trek, babylon 5, stargate firefly, doctor who etc. If you are comfortable with the characters of all of the above, I would appreciate the help, as I am a little concerned that my characterisation has gone haywire.

at any rate, i am going to spend the weekend rewatching old episodes and scribbling notes on what is and isn't in character.

I'm sorry you didn't see it in time. =( Any other week I would have missed it as well -- I don't normally have much time check my FL at work on Friday nights.

It sucks. *pout* I left a note saying if anyone drops out, I'd love to do it, but I don't think that's likely.

At any rate, there isn't a great deal I can do about it, other than take it as a sign that I should channel my energies towards yuletide this year. (Other than complain loudly about the unfairness of the universe in general, of course).

Thank you for the note, though, 'cause it was so far down my flist by the time I looked that I might not have seen it at all... which would in fact have made me feel worse.

yuletide is fantastic fun. I always drive myself mad with all my fic commitments around the holidays. =) (Though if I end up writing the same fandom for yuletide for a third year in a row I will be quite suspicious!)

well, seeing as i went through all the trouble of writing a NYR in order to qualify, i am definitely writing for it! and multi-fandom sounda like a great deal of fun, especially the more obscure fandoms. there's isn't as great a weight on an accepted interpretation of the characters, and no fanon to muddy the picture. you can go straight to the source, which is great fun.

*bounce*

what fandoms did you do before for it?
