the catch-up
Ok, so a lot has happened since my last post. To begin, Brian was able to come out for a visit for Valentine's Day! (yay!!) I was really excited about this for two reasons: (1) I didn't think we'd be able to see each other for it and (2) he had a job interview down near South Park mall for Carolina's Investment Consultants (or something like that). He hasn't heard from them yet, but it hasn't been much time, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Brian feels like the interview went really well and that must be a good sign.
Me being impatient, I asked to exchange gifts Sunday night as soon as Brian arrived. Maybe we think alike or maybe we've been together so long that we developed a liking for the same things, but we gave each other nearly identical presents- Reese's and 2 candles.
On Monday night we went to dinner at Red Rock's Cafe in Birkdale. It was fabulous! We've had such incredible visits lately that I'm becoming even more impatient to start our lives together. Yesterday, I drove up to Boone for Erika & Erin's joint birthdays. While it was weird to be back in Boone, sleeping in a familiar bed in a familiar apartment (though, it is decorated much much much nicer this year), I had a great time. I miss being around everyone, but I don't miss Boone itself, way too cold for me.
