i got in yesterday evening a little before 8. the trip was long, to say the least. especially since Emily and i spent the night before our flight at the airport. AND I'M DONE.

had my last final today (and think i did pretty well on it), and i'm headed to Melbourne tomorrow morning. i'll be back in Brisbane on Wednesday night (Wednesday morning for you folks) to enjoy my last few days in Oz before heading home! just 9 more days! yay!

well i had a seriously great past few days. Thursday morning, Lesley and i woke up at the crack of dawn for our Fraser Island trip. Fraser is the largest sand island in the world, and it's absolutely beautiful. it was so much fun. it was my first real camping experience, since the nice, comfy cabins at MPM really don't count. the trip also ( Read more... )

the past few days i've done some touristy things. Thursday i went into the city and took an interesting tour of Queensland Parliament House. also visited the QUT Art Museum, which was very cool, and, since i was there, walked around the Botanic Gardens a bit. at the first bar i went to with Eddy on Wednesday night, we ended up talking to a guy (probably in his mid-50's) who had been to NY a couple years ago, and actually stayed in Yonkers! he even named McLean Ave.! that made me super happy.

so an update on life. Theatre Restaurant went pretty well. the first performance was definitely the best. the second one was for parents, so there was a lot less laughter from the audience (a lot of the jokes were either really dirty or else just Emmanuel inside jokes that the parents wouldn't get), and the third night was better, though still not ( Read more... )
