To follow up on a previous post, here is a petition to get the birthday of Mr. Rogers declared a national holiday. Not sure if the Cracked article is directly related to this or if one inspired the other or not. It doesn't matter, though. While I often think that people make White House petitions for entirely frivolous reasons, this is one that I fully support, wholeheartedly. If this doesn't get the required number of signatures within just a few days at most, let alone the full month allotted for it, I will be sorely disappointed. Yes, I know that reaching that point only warrants a "response" from the White House and nothing more, but hopefully it would be the start needed to get the ball rolling for real.
