Though the Good & Bad i obsess.
i keep meaning to write LJ entries but nothing seems important enough until i actually start writing.
so its an awards season day, oscar noms.
not may surprises acting wise except for the supporting actress with penelope & maggie instead of the beautiful julianne :(
And of course THE BLIND SIDE got a nomination. not out of nowhere of course but just shows that there is MUCH love around for Sandra therefore im now pretty sure Meryl will lose, which is sad but i know she can perform again to win. and we never know, a backlash could begin.
what just annoys me if how people were waiting for the nominations as if Meryl might not get one... urm no. and that they don't realise how much this blind side nomination means... its not being negative, its just the odds have gone down to 2nd place like last year.
The Blind Side nom means a lot when a film like Invictus didn't get a best picture nom when it got 2 acting noms & its clint.
The Academy has proved time and time again that winning is so often not based on the performance but on whether it is deserved based on your career & who you are.Sandra is nominated for a RAZZIE this year, Meryl has 16 oscar noms... thats all.
So the Oscars could be very predictable this year with Acting & the Hurt Locker... giving me more brain space to just drool over Alec in many a tux & spy Meryl in the audience every 3 seconds...
