I believe that dads/partners/friends/family can be important parts of the birth process. Often times, however, they feel at a loss of how to help the people they care for. Labor is not something that can really be controlled, and we don’t really know how our loved ones are experiencing this birth compared to ours. However I put together this list awhile ago as a presentation to a Bradley class, with the intent to give the Dad’s a little checklist they could go down if they were feeling uncertain. It is also meant to encourage the mom’s partner so they know that even just holding a hand can be a big help.
You can check out the list on my blog
