Sherman Alexie
funniest poet ever. His reading last night was pretty much stand-up comedy. i was laughing so hard i was in tears, especially when he was talking about the people down the hall from his hotel roomo having sex and the woman screaming things he'd never heard in real life.
he was talking about his wife and said that metaphor goes a long way, becaust she is HOT. so when Christian and I went up to get our books signed, Christian put his arm around me and tole him, you're right, metaphor does go a long way. And then Sherman Alexie was like you two are together? and he busted up laughing and said we made his night. i think that was good? lol.
anyways, a 3 hour round trip drive to pasadena and not getting home until 11 was totally worth it. he spoke so long that they were closing the store on us...
i wish i could see him on panel at the LATFOB sunday. dammit.
