If you ever need to get across Texas, you better have all day. It turns out that the abysmal ice storm has kept us on the southern track. Even though the speed limit is 80 MPH on Interstate 10 (as you can see in my fancy twenty-ninth userpic!), it still takes a long, long time to cross the vast lands having messed with which one should not be caught.
There are perks along the way, of course. One of them is the
picture of the day.

Yes,
kamoranakrre and company *are* farther south than when they started their great drive east... but Dallas is iced in, and the Texas DOT uses sand on the roads when that happens, for lack of salt. After all, how often does this happen 'round here?
We went to Dick's Last Resort. It's much crazier during dinnertime than when we were there for lunch before. I liked the personal attention/rudeness that came from being the only customers. The bouncers also laughed at me, saying my ID photo made me look like a 12-year-old Harry Potter. But at least I didn't have to wear Xs on my hands in permanent marker.
Speaking of permanent marker, alcohol-based cleaning products are good at removing it from various surfaces.
Also, from looking at the Google Earth imagery of San Antonio, I have to conclude that they totally cheated to build the riverwalk. Something's really fishy about that river around there... Like the three right angles, perhaps?
