Good morning! My bad luck streak has vanished which is a good thing. If you didn't know about that, in one day I saw my brother, was forced to kiss his ass again and when I tried to resist my dad was like STOP BEING DISRESPECTFUL, both working cars died, and while hemming my aunt's pair of pants, I threaded myself 4 times and stabbed myself 10 times. But now luckily things aren't that bad. I claimed my color guard solo and started writing it. It will be awesome, though one of my moves won't work, so I have to change things around a bit. I'm quite excited for the season now, we are all getting along well, which is always a good thing because if any of you were in guard this year, you know that together we can be quite headstrong. I'm controlling it though and they are too and I think we've found a happy medium.
In my cosplay corner, I've created a profile on acparadise.com, or American Cosplay Paradise. My username is Sapphyre, and last time I checked, my costumes were pending approval, but they're good so I think they'll pass. I fixed part of my pluto staff, now all that's left to do is paint because it died on me and I was like NOOO. Therefore, styrafoam is the devil. Shei has found a labcoat for me and is going to send it to me, for which I am forever in her debt. I started working on a mini-scythe for Alexa, and it's coming out pretty good, it needs a handle and some paint, but it will look good when it's done....I hope. I've done well in the past with props though, I can do this.
And as I sit here sipping my green tea with peach extracts, I am happy because I have finished my first summer reading book and have started another book by Amy Tan. I am going to take another count of where I stand on my bookworm challenge to read 50 books by the end of the year. I am getting ever closer though, I think I can do it. Perhaps I can break 60. We shall see.
