So far I'm quite pleased with most of the music selections for Dissidia. For FF1 through 7 they used arrangements of various battle themes (and an orchestral arrangement of One-Winged Angel) and the respective overworld themes. I'm thoroughly enjoying Dissidia. Honestly, I am. It's lots of fun and has tons of fangirl-squee-inducing moments. There's a surprising number of FFXI references; I'm mostly surprised because I'd figure that your average FF player is least likely to have played that one.

However, some of the story scenes just cry out for a bit of mockery.

One thing playing Dissidia has done is gotten me to finally import some of my FF soundtrack CDs into iTunes. So far I've gotten 8 and 10; I'll work on the others over the coming days ( Read more... )
