Just got back from Tennessee. It was quite an adventure and we got to see a whole frickin lot of beautiful waterfalls. The second day there I managed to be a complete and utter klutz and tried to hike too fast through some mud. I slipped on a rock, twisted my ankle and fell sideways into the mud. The next hour I hiked looking like a complete idiot covered in mud as I waited for my pants to dry. Somehow my ankle really doesn't hurt at all and it's not really bruised--but I look like I have a frickin' kankle on my left leg and my foot is super swollen, too. It's mildly funny and pathetic how I can always manage to injure myself.
In other news, there are a lot of Indians (from India) hiking in TN--they all seemed to be from Missouri. Does anyone know why? I thought this was weird.
I also thought it was insane that parents were taking babies and hyper-active toddlers on trails that had sharp cliffs and super rocky trails. They certainly weren't kid friendly.
