Let me show you my ring (ooh matron!) :D
At v_lizzy's request, and for those who I've not waved it at IRL:
Yeees I had my nails done before showing anybody - they weren't worthy before!

It's been a manic week from the minute we came back. Mom and Dad came round with one set of grandparents bearing gifts and cards and flowers on Monday, which was a bit of a shock after a romantic w/e with just the two of us and a four poster bed; most easy to forget the outside world! Tuesday was the obligatory squealing from the girls at work (which was really sweet actually) and we went to my grandparents' on my Dad's side in the evening to show them the ring and say thankyou for this;
If I didn't have a cutlery thing before then I have one now. ;)
Wednesday I built up the courage to read the letter that Pete's mom had sent me (I told them in writing as we thought they were away, but they're not going until the end of this month apparently). Was all fine, though she did apologise for the shaky writing as it was a bit of a shock! Ooh dear! :/ Mind you, she doesn't know that it took me two hours to write three A5 pages at my end!
Thursday we went to berley_girl and bright_raven's and skipped the flute lesson in favour of flute glasses and bubbly (with a bottle courtesy of sapphrine who had been waiting for an excuse to drink it since his graduation). A most pleasant evening all in with curry and filmage. :)
I seem to have lost Friday in a cloud of knackeredness. Here's a pic of me taken around Tuesday/Wednesday time, and this was the most flattering one!
Sooo tired! Was really nice meeting up with toxicpixie in town yesterday for chai latte and shopping. Bonus running into stelmaria_clg as well and having lunch in House of Fraser. It was such a relief to talk of other things for a while.
Just slowly becoming accustomed to the idea now.
