I actually had a whole weekend off, isn't it amazing. Lately Starbucks has been keeping me busy on the weekends so I was quite surprised to see that I wasn't scheduled even a day to work Starbucks last week. I had conversed with friends online and decided to pay my hometown a visit this weekend.

Its crazy, I haven't been home since Christmas. I haven't had many excuses to go anymore. Moms moving up to Buffalo and my brother will probably come with her. Not to mention I use to come home just to spend some time with Lauren when she had some free time in her busy schedule.

This weekend I had a different agenda in mind: to visit old friends I haven't seen in a while and to catch up with others I see every so often.

Saturday afternoon I met up with Ila, this girl I dated in high school for a few months. We were always good friends before that and she was best friends with Kristen Merman Smith. She happened to catch me online Friday night and told me to call her when I was in town. I met up with her at Cooper Dell and we chatted for about an hour. God its crazy meeting up with people you haven't seen in years. Life flies by.

Afterwards, I briefly said hi to Heather Tompkins at Burger King where she manages. Made some quick plans to come visit her at her new place Sunday. She and I had been close for years throughout High School and have kept in close contact the past year or so. Haha back in the day I had this huge crush on her but ended up meeting my first girlfriend at her birthday party back when we were young.

Aaron and Kaitlin had invited me to come along with them to the Knighthawks game Saturday night so I met up with them right after my quick visit to Burger King. We played PS3 for a little while till it was time to go. We then quickly drove over to Blue Cross and holy shit, its so different from what I remember. Its Tiny compared to HSBC where I've been use to watching the Sabres. Needless to say, we had a good time and the Knighthawks won.

In the morning I decided to be a nice brother and drive my little bro to get his paycheck cashed. I had to get up early because I was suppose to meet up with Vatha for some sushi. I got that out of the way and went over to Aaron and Kaitlins again to pick her up. I guess her bf wanted to come along so our little lunch date was no longer a date haha.

When we arrived, ironically a few more of her friends where there so this lunch date turned into a big group lunch. We had to wait over an hour though to get seated because California Rollin (Sushi place) was packed. So we walked around Village Gate where it was located and browsed around in a few stores there.

I dunno but for some reason I was bothered by the whole situation and felt uncomfortable. Since she brought her boyfriend, I kinda felt like the third wheel. It was suppose to be the 2 of us just chillin and catchin up and then it turned into this big group thing. Normally things like that don't bother me but they were all over eachother from the time we left to go all the way to the time we went back home. I just kinda felt like I was in the way. Not to mention she hardly payed much attention to me. That was a huge reason why I came to Rochester, to catch up with people so it wasn't really what I asked for.

Watching the PDA kinda made me sad because I've longed for a decent relationship for some time. Everyone keeps telling me, oh your time will come. It will come when you least expect it, yada yada yada. I'm just tired of waiting. No I'm not desperate, I just miss the feelings associated with having someone. I miss having someone to come home to or to go out with. It sucks being alone. I feel like that would be a vital element in my life that would pick me up and give me a little extra motivation to do things. I still have lots of motivation but having someone special in your life just helps ease things along seamlessly. It helps to take away your worries and minimize further any stress.

So yeah it bothered me a little but its no big deal. Afterwards I had plans to hang out with heather and visit my friend Susan whos been wanting me to come over for a while. Her mom always asks about me and everytime I come over, makes me home cooked meals. mmmmm. Turns out she was busy and wasn't at home so I had to skip those plans. I tried calling Heather but she wasn't available. She texted me later on that night and said her little girl was in the Hospital. Guess she had pink eye, and was sick. Poor girl, they had to do some blood work on her too. I hope shes alright.

Since those plans were out, I went over to where Murray works and chatted with him for a while. He was pretty surprised to see me. We just shot the shit and I bought a few things there (Walgreens) to take home. I needed toothpaste and some other bathroom essentials.

For some reason I started to feel a little sick afterward. I dont know if I had too much sushi or what but I was starting to feel a little miserable so I decided to head home earlier than I wanted. I was pretty close to the thruway and I had all my stuff with me anyway so I bolted home. I wanted to come visit Lauren real quick at work but didn't want to look miserable.

I guess I will have to catch up with the rest of everyone on another visit. It was still nice seeing people. I hope they appreciate it. Every now and then I like to do this, or give people calls I haven't talked to in ages. Actually, on my way home I phoned Rachel Sheffer and chatted with her till I got to the Buffalo tolls. I can't believe her daughter is 7 months old already.

Haha which reminds me before I sign off here. Everyones getting married and having kids and growing up. Its inevitable but just seems like life is wizzing by at the moment. Everyone grows up so fast. I'm just lucky to still have all the friends I do now. Without them I'd be pretty damn lonely. I guess I should be happy that I've been blessed with that.
