This is the last post for a little while...
Heh, even though I don't really post often enough for people (people still read this?) to notice.
Tomorrow, at noon, my plane takes off for China, at which point, Troy, Brett and I will panic, run up and down the rows of seats and tell them to get us the fuck off of the plane...Realistically though, I think we're all ready for the trip, or at least, as ready as we can be. It should be a stressful, but great experience.
For those of you who don't know, I will be backpacking through various parts of China along with two of my good friends, Brett Barnes and Troy Okel. None of us know shit about China, and none of us can speak the language, nor understand the funny squiggles of an alphabet that they have. We've all been vaccinated, and we have enough first aid medical supplies to support a battallian, though I doubt we'll need it all, and it wouldn't matter if we did, since none of us know how use any of it anyways.
As for a general update, I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. No, I'm not dying, but after a busy semester I managed to:
Take the GREs and score over 1,000
Finish applying to Grad Schools (phase two is crossing my fingers and saying "please, please, please"
Submitting a paper for publication
Doing my basic research stint
Work at the yard house
Doing the whole band thing
Be Public Relations and Associate Member Educator for DU
Being a Supplimental Instructor for Research Methods
Getting this China trip accredited (yes, we're getting class credit to fuck around in china)
Nervously asking a girl out, then later end up falling in love with her (fortunately, I think she likes me too ;p )
Shit, I did way too much this semester, though it really didn't feel like it. Speaking of the girlfriend, she literally makes the world around me look so much brighter. Aside from some people at Carthage, both Tim and Tabby have met her. She's actually coming to visit today, before I leave tomorrow. I didn't think that I'd miss a single thing, but I've already started to miss her. Awwwwwwww. Ok, enough of that, I think I made most people reading this sick.
New Years Resolutions!
1)Kill off the last lingering 20 pounds
2)Catch up with people I haven' seen in a while, like pete kirchens, or Josh Quinn! We need to hang out sometime!!
3)Survive China (heh, that should probably be my first resolution, eh?)
4)Try not to piss any professors of with my blatent honesty...
5)Continue to do stuff for DU, since it's my last semester with them. Shit, it's my last semester in college...most people would be scared, but I'm thinking IT"S ABOUT FUCKING TIME!!! :)
