The complete 180° my job is about to do
So, today I was asked by my manager to speak with her in the office. Thinking I was in trouble for something, I was kinda nervous. Basically, she told me that things were about to change drastically thanks to a MAJOR decision made by the owner of the company.
Here's the rundown of changes:
1) NO MORE CASHIERS. That's right... NO MORE CASHIERS. Take a moment.... he wants the service and parts people to do it now, and to phase us out. Service riders will start taking the cash on Oct 1st.
2) I don't get to do wholesales anymore :( that was my favorite part of the job. Retail title clerk will be doing it now.
3) I gotta work cashier for pretty much this whole month. I WILL SURVIVE UGH since it will be COMPLETELY OVER soon.
4) I will become what Kandi described as a "Friday girl", basically learning everyone else's jobs to take over their stuff when they take a day off or are sick.
5) S-D will start having their own finance division (like Automax and Fiesta here in lbk) so I have a strange feeling I will be doing a lot of things for that...
6) No more switchboard either. Hmm, yeah, I think that's okay too. lol
Alas. Kandi said my whole job description will change. For the better, I hope...
