Back in 1979, I remember explaining to my mother that some footballers were worth £1 million, but Trevor Francis wasn't one of them.

Were she still here, I am not sure I would be equipped to explain the position with regard to €100 million players.

1. We stuffed Cambridge.

2. We have completed the sale of my mother's flat.

3. We have raspberries. Well, I keep being told they're loganberries, really, but apart from their being quite long I don't notice the difference.

I just had a phone call telling me I'd won the top prize in the 100 Club this month, which is £50. "Again?" I asked.
