I mowed the lawn! Or rather lawns! And I think I may have done it in record time, though I'm not absolutely certain when I started, and anyway I don't have records of my previous timings. But I reckon it was about an hour and a quarter, and I didn't use up both batteries, whereas usually I've exhausted both by the end. I think it was easier ( Read more... )

Well done! And happy birthday to the sibling, too.

Well done, getting them mown. Do you think you'll take over doing them from Martin this year, then?

I haven't done mine yet, but the next-door neighbour was out doing theirs on Sunday, so the season is clearly upon me...

I will celebrate the mowing and my brother's birthday later, with cauliflower cheese.

If you'd planned it in advance, you could have celebrated with cauliflower cheese on *two* days. On the other hand, it's not as though you need an excuse for cauliflower cheese!

I haven't heard from Martin yet, but I thought I might as well nip out and do it myself as (a) the weather had been fine long enough for the grass to be dry, but was rumoured to be on the point of breaking, and (b) I'm a bit short of cash until next payday.

I mowed the lawn!

Y'know, I was convinced this said you *moved* the lawn.

I was very impressed.

The previous occupiers moved the lawn, from the front to the back.

Oh, yum. I miss cauliflower cheese. We don't really have that here.

Involving flour, unfortunately. Well, not unfortunately for me.

Oh, that can be dealt with. I haven't done it, since I don't make sauces often, but I'm sure I've read a few ways it can be done.
