Dear brain:

Maybe you missed the memo, but pregnant people are supposed to rest a lot and not stress. Just in case you were wondering, dreams about trying to deal with a giant pile of laundry, a kitchen full of dirty dishes, and an impossibly filthy bathroom before guests arrive is not restful or conducive to low stress. Teaching and learning about the world again is one of the things I think I miss most about not having kids.

Because I totally have my Harry Potter cauldron (read: Lodge cast iron dutch oven) ready to fill with all sorts of interesting potions (read: herbs and seasonings).

Cupcakes are wonderful and baby-sized, too!

Yes, I must admit that indoctrinating teaching my kid about fun stuff is probably half the reason I'm having kids in he first place. So many opportunities to warp develop tiny minds.

(What evil laughter? I don't hear any evil laughter.)

You are so cute. :D

And I've lost count, but I bet you're getting near the time when you could theoretically start feeling the young'un move around in there. That's a fabulous milestone. *Way* better than, say, the milestone of getting through your first full week of morning sickness. But then, what isn't?

edit: By the way, yes, the stressful and/or just bizarre dreams! I tend to wake up from mine bathed in sweat, too. And often I've drooled on the pillow at some point. Thanks, overactive glands, this is fun.

Yeah, I'm supposed to start feeling it soon, I think, which would be easier if my stomach would stay settled for longer periods of time.

Thanks, overactive glands, this is fun.

*chortles* Oh, man, that is truth right there.
