Every year, around this time, I get a little cranky. It's not that I don't like Christmas, because I do, I love Christmas, especially on the actual day. It's not that I hate buying presents because I honestly, truly love buying presents. It may be a little bit because of the fact that everyone forgets how to drive their cars, but mostly? Mostly it's the fact that every year they turn the lobby muzak to Christmas songs and every year on this day I get "All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth" stuck in my head and I wander around everywhere humming it and going "Ack!" when i realize that I'm humming it again and I end the day kind of wanting to spork myself in the brain.
But I've decided that I'm going to be less curmudgeonly about Christmas this year. I will enjoy the whole month of December or die trying! *waves fist at cosmos* Step One is putting some Baroque Christmas pieces on the iPod and hoping they can dislodge That Song Which Shall Not Be Named.
