How much do I love LJ's seasonal decorations?
1. The novelty of having a huge purple bruise on my knee, the sight of which I can inflict upon unsuspecting friends and family at will, has officially worn off. I am ready to go back to being able to use my knee normally. I can't even sleep on my right side, because if I do Mr. Bill will inevitably bump into it in his sleep and cause me pain. *sulks*
2. Playing Transformers Monopoly with my brother and husband when we've all had at least one beer? Is really funny. Mostly because it seems to offend both of them that I don't really take it seriously (Mr. Bill's going to win anyway, so why?) and simply buy properties based on whether I have fond memories of the location they're named after. "I want to buy Dinobot Island! Why isn't Megatron's Deep Sea Lair on here?" (Deep Sea Lair! \o/) Also, a lot of impersonation of animated characters goes on, and we do sound-effects. I would blame the beers, but we'd probably do all of that, anyway.
3. I have completed final changes on my Narnia fic, and am now in the novel position of actually wanting the fic-a-thon deadline to hurry up and get here so that I can post it. I'm attempting to savor the sensation, as I don't anticipate the situation being repeated any time soon.
4. I keep forgetting that in the Transformers 'verse, there's a place on Cybertron called "The Chamber of the Ancients." Also, space bridges are basically Stargates. I really want to write cracktastic crossover fic. The question is: using which continuity branch of the amazingly convoluted and contradictory TF canon? Gen 1? Movie-verse? New Animated? Beast Wars? Sadly, I think the Chamber of Ancients hales from one of the comics 'verses, and I'm not touching those, since I never read any.
