1. I'm reaching a point with my friendathon fic where I almost don't even care if it's good, anymore, just so long as it gets done and goes away. I hate this. It's seriously affecting my ability to be happy, now. This fic is decreasing my quality of life, here! This should not be possible!

2. Everybody has their crackfic weakness, right? Some folks go for wingfic, some for bodyswap, others for kidfic. Me? I'm a sucker for Supernatural crossovers with the Transformers in which the Impala turns out to be a robot, however briefly. I have no excuse for this, other than the fact that it's just inherently awesome. Anyway, if you grew up on a steady diet of Bumblebee, Soundwave, and Optimus Prime, and if you never quite got over the hope that your car would one day transform into a giant robot and save you from bad guys, then you'd probably understand. Anyway, the point of this item is to complain that unfortunately, while it's not too difficult to find crossover fic like this, it is hard to find SPN/Transformers fic that is Gen and reasonably well-written. This concerns me, because it means at some point I will feel the desire to write my own, and I'm just not sure I'm okay with that. The thing with Dean and cassette tapes and the fact that Soundwave's alt mode is a tape player (to say nothing of his little cassette-bots) has potential, though. I'm just saying.

3. I spent a significant amount of yesterday afternoon laughing delightedly at The SGA Primer for SPN Fangirls. An exhaustive list of reasons why fans of Supernatural might also enjoy Stargate: Atlantis. The city of Atlantis is described as "the SGA Mettalicar." Yes. Truly hilarious, I highly recommend. Possibly my favorite bit:

They all speak English. Just deal with it. The Harvelle Roadhouse is two hours away and everyone in the Pegasus Galaxy lives in Vancouver and speaks English, mmmkay?

Oh, and this:

You should know Stargate tends to treat Continuity the way Supernatural treats Geography. They've heard of the concept but haven't fully mastered it.
