Mr. Bill has been slowly watching SG-1 an episode at a time, usually at times when I am gone or asleep, and it's been amusing getting his reactions to the show in its early days. My favorite thing is asking him "Which episode did you watch last night?" and getting his working title for the episode, which is usually more descriptive than the actual ( Read more... )

I can understand that. She's not actually in it all that much, and yet she's pretty much treated as a main character by an awful lot of fic writers - more so than, say, Hammond, or Maybourne, or Siler, etc. She's just plain awesome.

(Heehee, shooting Jack is understandable. I get that.)

Yeah, even more than his quick attachment to Frasier, it's the fact that he considers shooting Jack a completely reasonable impulse that amuses me. Heh.

Yeah, he's only in S1, but he's seen so many random episodes with me that he already knew who she was. But still, I found it amusing. Apparently shooting Jack can be rationalized while hurting Janet cannot. Hee.

I always think of Janet and Hammond as the Mom and Dad of the SGC. Sam and Daniel are the nerdy twins, Teal'c is the quiet big brother who is a modle Eagle Scout but will Mess You Up for making his sister cry and Jack is the instigating middle child who always manages to somehow get his siblings into trouble with him.

Yeah. I even knew it was coming (I saw that ep before I started seriously watching the show from beginning to end) and I was still soooo sad.
