Just so we all know what we're getting into.

We celebrate new years to mark the beginning of a new year. This much should be obvious. However, the reason why we have January 1st to mark the beginning of the new year is that Jesus was circumcised that day.

Now, why would anybody want to celebrate taking away from our lord and saviour, who died on the cross for us and gave some obnoxious people trying to exploit religion for some easy money a kick in the butt, 80 percent of the sensitivity in his cock-head?[1] Are people so fond of influencing a god that sexual assault seems like an acceptable path to resort to?

Now I really need quite a few drinks.

[1]Or something like that. I got this from Kids in the Hall, but do not quite recall the exact figure and can hardly be expected to research everything.

religion, christianity, new years
