Good day

Today, we went out and got LED lamps for the music room, to illuminate the hammered dulcimers. After that, Half Priced Books, where I found 15/18 of the Tony Hillerman Leaphorn and Chee mysteries, plus a handful of others off the bargain rack. Then to Monsoon East for dinner with our friend Melissa, and then across the street for pastries and coffee for dessert.

Then on the way home we stopped by a different branch of Half Priced Books, and found the two missing Hillerman books I was looking for (The second one, very important, and the fifteenth), AND "The Book of the Hopi" by Frank Waters, recommended by Hillerman in one of his novels.

Which I somehow lost on the way through the store.

I had set my stack of books down to look at something (A purse that was a brown bear with handles, nearly bought it, cracked me up) and when I picked them up again I left one behind, fallen partly behind the other junk on the shelf. Dave enlisted the aid of one of the employees and I backtracked myself and found it while he and the other guy helped search.

So! I had a good night, I finally have my long sought book two AND all the rest of them, and we found, lost, and found an obscure book I didn't really expect to find. My foot hurts from all my gimping around, but it was very nice to go out and do things anyhow.
