I love words too, though so often they escape me these days - English is such a rich and beautiful language, I wish there was more occasion to make use of the full breadth of vocabulary... Sadly text speak rules...LOL OMG

I'll admit I remain leery of vocabulary! XD I think I prefer the aesthetic of people using words common to them, in new and fluent ways, rather than the inclusions of an overabundance of uncommon ones--even if they're pretty. /this isn't entirely related to what your comment was actually about but here is a tangent!

I understand the thinking behind using common words and keeping things comprehensible, I just pine for something more sometimes. Not an overabundance because that would be like food that's too rich and would make you feel a bit sick after a while. But a sprinkling would be nice.

Unfortunately, such things so often just come across as though the writer's trying too hard, and hipster!Kalliel cannot abide. XDD Not that I'm not just as guilty of this at times, too, of course!
