macarons!
i'm *SO EXCITED!* i'm having french macarons flown in fresh for me tomorrow!!!
it's kind of weird how this worked out. there's a fabulous pastry place in portland that apparently makes some of the best french macarons made in all of the US. i e-mailed the owner to ask how much it would be to have 2 dozen shipped to me...and the response was $45. GAK! too expensive. i told her no thanks.
i got an e-mail a few days later saying that, in a total coincidence, the owner was flying in to boston this thursday, and would i like her to bring me the 2 dozen macarons and meet her in boston to save myself the cost of shipping them?
well, yes!
so they'll be here tomorrow! delightful, beautifully colored macarons!
