Weaning

Well, tomorrow's the big day. Nerissa and I have been working up to this for about a month.  "Did you know," I asked her, "that since baby faeries are born by magic, they don't have mommies? So they don't get momma milk. You see, when human children get too big for nursing, the faeries can take the momma milk and give it to the baby faeries." We decided on the end of the month, and worked down to just two nurses a day. Tonight we wrote a note to the faeries saying that they could have the momma milk now, and she will wake up to find a thank-you note and a little pouch of treasures.

So we'll see how it goes...
